While working with the City of Scotts Valley, we outlined specific benefits for them with a comprehensive cloud-based solution using Microsoft Teams telephone pods. After implementing the City’s new phone system, we had a discussion with Mali to gather her insights on the impact of these changes. She says,
“We knew we needed a new phone system for many years, but when the pandemic hit, it became so obvious that we were not able to function as a city and deliver services to our residents with this archaic phone system that was 40 years old. So, we partnered with CyAs Tech to identify a solution and went to a pod-based TEAMS phone system where our staff can answer their phone from a computer, from their cell phone, from their home, wherever they are working, and give the same level of service as if they were sitting at their desks here at City Hall. The new system allows the caller to reach the exact person they need to talk to through our more efficient phone trees, and they do not get passed around from one person to another person trying to get the answer to the question that they have. It is much more efficient for our residents and customers calling in, as well as for our staff to answer calls, to receive voicemails with their emails transcribed, and the audio files. I want to thank CyAs Tech for getting the new system installed and our staff trained and up to speed, on how to use it. It is SO much better than the old phone system we had!”
